Tummy Time - 8 weeks old!

Sophia doesn't really like tummy time. She is a trooper for about 10 minutes, at the most, and then she get really frustrated and cries. But, I think she is doing very well!

We have a thumb sucker!

And it is just so cute! Even the noises she makes while trying to find the thumb and when she gets it!

Riley Farm - the pumpkin patch

Our friends the Riley's invited us to go to the Riley Farm to pick a pumpkin and get some apple cider. We had a really good time. It was a beautiful day! Our friend Heather took some family pics. Sophia had just woken up from a nap. We used the snuggly carrier for the first time. She did pretty well. She really enjoyed facing out so she could see something other than TJ's shirt!

Boy, time flies!

So it has been 5 weeks since my last post and our little Sophie has gotten so big. I went to the doctor yesterday for myself and sneaked her on to the scale. Her in the car seat weighs 20 pounds. The car seat alone weighs 7.8 pounds. I did some simple math and she weighs 12.2 pounds! Can you believe it! 7 weeks old and over 12 pounds! I was shocked. I don't know how accurate this method is but still. Anyway, TJ got home from Wyoming on the 10th (picture below) and we all flew to Illinois on the 11th for a residency interview.
This is Sophia on her first flight.
She actually did very well. No fussing at all until the ride home on the last part of the flight. That wasn't even bad.

While in Illinois we were all very spoiled. Aunt Hayley bought Sophie a ton of warm clothes and a Halloween costume! She is gonna be so cute as a strawberry :) Uncle Travis and Aunt Hayley took us around to look at houses, just in case. . . We found a couple that we really liked. We ate out a lot, I even got Sonic. Yummy strawberry limeade! Have you ever heard of the city Hannibal? Well, it is the home of Mark Twain! We went and did the tourist thing, climbed the steps to the lighthouse that overlooks the Mississippi River,
saw the house that he grew up in and got some candy at the old candy store. We left on Saturday and though we were sad to leave the Illinois Moore's, we are very happy to be home and together again. It is time to get back to a normal routine, even if it is just for a month. The next thing we have to look forward to is Sophia's blessing and a visit from TJ's cousins and the Idaho Moore's!

Here are a few more pictures of Sophia. She smiled at my mom on October 4th. That made mommy very sad :( I didn't get a smile for three more days!
