Christmas with the Andersen's

We made it home in time to go down to my parents house for Christmas. We had a nice relaxing weekend and were spoiled. Sophie got a high chair from Grandma and Grandpa. She loved sitting at the table with the rest of us! I can't believe that she is holding her bottle! She is getting so big!

Sophie had a blast opening presents with Grandma.

TJ and I love getting our stockings from Santa. We asked him never to stop bringing them. Santa brings us gift cards to some of our favorite places: panda, cold stone, jamba, and in and out. Could it get any better?! Oh, and we can't forget the avocados fresh from the tree! Thanks Santa! Overall, it was a great holiday. I can't believe how fast it came and went.

Christmas with the Moore's

While we were in Utah we were able to have our Christmas party with TJ's family. Dawna put together an awesome dinner, with the help of her wonderful sister Judy and use of her home. After dinner we did presents. That is always fun! Dawna got us all red snuggies (red for the Utes!) Grandma and Grandpa love Sophia! Aunt Tiffany got her the dress she is wearing, grandma and grandpa got her a sleepover horse (you put jammies and whatever else inside to take to a sleepover).

Sophia's baby blessing

Sophia was blessed on November 1, 2009. TJ gave her an amazing blessing that made me cry. She had a very beautiful dress that Grandma and Grandpa Andersen bought for her.
We had a ton of people over to our little apartment: Carter and Suzette and their six kids, Casey and Becca, Lon, G and G Andersen, Manuel, Pablo, Anna Victoria, London, and Andrew and Melissa and their three kids. 25 people in a tiny apartment! Those are some close quarters! But it was so much fun!

Halloween

TJ's brother Carter and his family came down for Halloween and Sophia's blessing. This is Aunt Suzette with Sophie on her first Halloween.
She was the cutest little strawberry ever!

Tummy Time - 8 weeks old!

Sophia doesn't really like tummy time. She is a trooper for about 10 minutes, at the most, and then she get really frustrated and cries. But, I think she is doing very well!

We have a thumb sucker!

And it is just so cute! Even the noises she makes while trying to find the thumb and when she gets it!

Riley Farm - the pumpkin patch

Our friends the Riley's invited us to go to the Riley Farm to pick a pumpkin and get some apple cider. We had a really good time. It was a beautiful day! Our friend Heather took some family pics. Sophia had just woken up from a nap. We used the snuggly carrier for the first time. She did pretty well. She really enjoyed facing out so she could see something other than TJ's shirt!

Boy, time flies!

So it has been 5 weeks since my last post and our little Sophie has gotten so big. I went to the doctor yesterday for myself and sneaked her on to the scale. Her in the car seat weighs 20 pounds. The car seat alone weighs 7.8 pounds. I did some simple math and she weighs 12.2 pounds! Can you believe it! 7 weeks old and over 12 pounds! I was shocked. I don't know how accurate this method is but still. Anyway, TJ got home from Wyoming on the 10th (picture below) and we all flew to Illinois on the 11th for a residency interview.
This is Sophia on her first flight.
She actually did very well. No fussing at all until the ride home on the last part of the flight. That wasn't even bad.

While in Illinois we were all very spoiled. Aunt Hayley bought Sophie a ton of warm clothes and a Halloween costume! She is gonna be so cute as a strawberry :) Uncle Travis and Aunt Hayley took us around to look at houses, just in case. . . We found a couple that we really liked. We ate out a lot, I even got Sonic. Yummy strawberry limeade! Have you ever heard of the city Hannibal? Well, it is the home of Mark Twain! We went and did the tourist thing, climbed the steps to the lighthouse that overlooks the Mississippi River,
saw the house that he grew up in and got some candy at the old candy store. We left on Saturday and though we were sad to leave the Illinois Moore's, we are very happy to be home and together again. It is time to get back to a normal routine, even if it is just for a month. The next thing we have to look forward to is Sophia's blessing and a visit from TJ's cousins and the Idaho Moore's!

Here are a few more pictures of Sophia. She smiled at my mom on October 4th. That made mommy very sad :( I didn't get a smile for three more days!

Two weeks already!!!

I can't believe that our little Sophie is already two weeks old! It kinda seems like a blur since all we do is eat, sleep (or at least try to) and see doctors! Anyway, here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Be careful what you wish for . . .

Okay. So the doctor must have been inspired to order a non stress test. I went in and the nurse was giving me an ultrasound and then she said, "how would you like to go to the hospital today?" Long story short, the baby's fluid was low so they sent me to be induced. Got to the hospital at noon. Received a hormone to release my hormones at 1:30pm which stayed in for 13 hours. Nothing was happening so I received another dose at 2:30am. Went for a walk at 3:30am. My water broke at 4:15am. I was dilated to a 5 by 9am, to a 9.5 by 11am, and she was born at 1:32pm. Things went pretty quickly once they started! Sophia Ellen Moore was born on August 29th at 1:32pm. She weighed 7 lbs 11oz and was 20.75 inches long. She is beautiful! Pictures to come.

C'mon. Seriously!

So, after the doctor spent about 2 minutes with me, I have not changed at all. Still one centimeter. I have a non stress test tomorrow and Tuesday. Induction scheduled for Friday, Sept 4th. I really really hope it doesn't come to that. All of those tricks people tell you about do not work! I guess your body just has to be ready. I am quite frustrated, if you can't tell.

39 weeks and counting...

Here is a new picture. I am 39 weeks. I think I look bigger than this picture shows. It must be the slimming black dress :)
