Cereal

Sophie has been eating rice cereal for about the last week. We tried for about a week before to get her to eat it and she wasn't having it. I even put pear juice in it and she still didn't like it.
We finally got smaller baby spoons and a week of trying passed and she now opens her mouth ready for more.

Rollin, rollin, rollin

She has done it! She has learned to roll over. January 6th was the day. She rolls to the left and when she finally gets over she screams because she can't get back and heaven knows she hates to be on her tummy! So we flip her back over and within seconds she is back over crying again. It was super cute at first. . . Here is a video for your viewing pleasure. Don't listen to me talking, just watch the rolling. :)

Grandpa

We got back from Utah just before Christmas. Just after, on December 30th my Grandpa Woodruff passed away. Although we expected it, it came faster than we thought it would. He was 78, had diabetes and was in congestive heart failure. He was in pain for a very long time so it was really a blessing that he passed. We will all miss him very much! I was able to take Sophia back to Utah with me. During this time of sadness I was able to reunite with these adorable kids!

They are my sister, Amber, and brother, Jarrin. They were finally able to meet Sophia and just adored her. It was so good to see them.

I was also able to see this cute lady, my Aunt Katherine.

It's amazing what a death can do.

More Utah

So, I have been busy watching my friend's baby CJ during the day and have not had any time to post anything more about our Utah trip.
We went to Utah for a month while TJ did a rotation at McKay Dee Hospital. We stayed with my Uncle Bob the entire time. It was great. We had the whole upstairs of his house to ourselves. It was like a little retreat. He even put up Christmas lights and decorations for us. Isn't is pretty?!
Plus, he really bonded with Sophie and we really bonded with him. During the month we did a lot. We went to a Jazz game (Aunt Kathy babysat a very unhappy Sophie) and to a concert, sort of-we left before it started (Grandma Nancy babysat). We went to a play with TJ's parents (Uncle Bob babysat even though he wasn't feeling well. We have a picture of him wearing his mask so he wouldn't spread his germs but I can't download it).
We had Thanksgiving with TJ's family and my family and then the next weekend with Bob's family. We visited loads of family and a few friends. We threw a coming home party for my Uncle Don who was returning from Iraq.
I am sure I am forgetting a few things but this covers a lot of our trip. Oh, and we had our car fixed a few times which was so fun! NOT! Sophia even grew out of most of her clothes while we were there. Aunt Hayley must have had an intuition because she sent some bigger warm clothes for her. Thanks again!
